Year 9 HASS Military Museum Excursion
The 9 HASS classes went on an excursion to the Merredin Military Museum during Week 8. This was to compliment their studies on World War I, looking at causes and impacts of the war.
The students enthusiastically completed a scavenger hunt booklet and appreciated the unique exhibits such as the Hu-1 (Huey) helicopter, the Ballantyne tank and Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC).
They engaged with museum volunteers Rob Endersee and Mike, asking questions about the potential of WWIII given current world events, why they volunteer and what their favourite parts of the museum are.
Thank you to the Merredin Military Museum for hosting Merredin College, it is a highlight of our 9 History course!
