Year 3 Excursion to Nungarin Heritage, Military and Army Museum

On Friday 1st May, our Year 3 class enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Nungarin Heritage, Military and Army Museum as part of our HASS studies. This term, students have been exploring how communities change over time, the importance of community participation, and the valuable role of volunteers. We have also been learning about commemorations, including the significance of ANZAC Day and its symbols.

Students were full of excitement as they boarded the school bus for a trip out of town. At the museum, they enthusiastically explored a wide range of exhibits, from large military vehicles to everyday items from local life, offering a fascinating insight into how people lived, worked, and served in years gone by.

A highlight of the day was enjoying a delicious burger for lunch before heading back to school.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Nungarin Museum and its wonderful volunteers for providing such a fantastic and engaging learning experience for our students.
