Merredin College Shooting Stars participants Amy and Demi have both showed excellent leadership in the program and had outstanding school attendance throughout Term 2.

As a result, they were invited to attend the annual Shooting Stars Senior Leadership Camp in Perth.

The camp offered some exciting opportunities such as attending a Partners Career Expo, where students engaged with many organisations, being able to ask various questions in preparation for their future after high school.

Other activities included a tour of WA Police Academy, participating in fun football drills and a game with the West Coast Eagles AFLW and a MasterChef Cook-off competition where the West Coast Fever players judged the meals. Amy and Demi thoroughly enjoyed being able to meet and talk to all the players at these events.

The highlight of the week was the West Coast Fever First Nations Round netball game. Overall, it was an amazing week and the girls got to network with other participants from other sites across Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia.
