Year 8 Meckering Earthquake Site Excursion
On Tuesday, 21st of July, our Year 8 students headed to Meckering to explore the Earthquake Information Booth, preserved fault line and the homestead.
Students studied the 1968 Meckering Earthquake as a case study of a geomorphic hazard. They explored how earthquakes impact communities and how social, cultural and economic factors influenced people’s experiences and recovery.
